Peruvian Jungle, fire at Villa Selva January 29, 2008
Dear friends in Christ,
With great sadness, I received an email from Pastor Anibal Peralta Guevara, our missionary in the Peruvian Jungle, that part of his Village, Villa Selva has burned down.
Pastor Anibal was able to take many pictures, of which are a few below. His simple dwelling and church were not affected.
They are awaiting help from the Government, but knowing Bureaucracy it may take months before they will receive assistance. Pastor Anibal wrote that the firetrucks could not get there, due to poor road conditions. Within 20 minutes 45 "houses" in the village and all personal belongings, burned down to the ground.
